Platform decisions I have been accountable for.
Six cases from corporate and platform business, most recent first – from acquisition diligence and governance to platform growth. Finally, nine months on the vendor side. Mandate and transaction details remain confidential.
When digital assets are audited prior to an acquisition
Examined two acquisition targets: traffic sources, UX maturity, technical debt. Both transactions completed.
When a platform is built from scratch
A Progressive Web App for an addressable market of around 2,000 municipalities and 50,000 associations, built instead of a fragmented landscape of native individual apps to keep maintenance costs low and scale platform-independently. Over 100 municipality profiles live, 250,000 installations.
When users switch channels and reach must be maintained
Users migrated from directories to Google Business Profile. Around 350 million visits per year on local.ch; Audience targets exceeded across three target periods. Crucial to this stabilization were a structurally revised search architecture and the systematic optimization of the mobile user experience.
When a corporation needs a binding digital standard
Around 1,600 digital channels, recorded in a group-wide registry. The Roche Digital Directive, developed and implemented via the Digital Governance Network, became binding for all companies within the Roche Group. It defined standardized technology stacks, mandatory approval processes, and clear responsibilities for operating digital touchpoints.
When the corporate website is relaunched
Relaunch of roche.com and consolidation of the architecture to efficiently manage global publications. Ranked #1 in the Health Care sector of the Comprend Webranking 2015/2016; Gold at the German Prize for Online Communication 2016 for the digital annual report.
When platform leadership needs to be filled
Strategy and mobile web planning for the relaunch of migros.ch. As Head migros.ch, led the relaunch team: 25 internal staff plus two agency teams, followed by handover into operations. Budget and financial planning, 15 social commerce pilots across 640 stores.
The other side of the table
SaaS and service provider for digital product passports, Zug. Go-Live of the B2B solution in June 2026. Nine months inside a SaaS provider: business-case modelling, prioritisation and sales.
I help executive teams make consequential platform decisions before they commit capital – and stay accountable through delivery. Credentials and references on request. Bring your impending platform decision – I will tell you directly whether it requires a mandate.
