Vendor-neutral, because advice and sales don't mix
I take no vendor commissions and no agency margins. A recommendation has to hold even if it costs a supplier the contract.
Time-boxed, because dependency is a cost
Every mandate is built to end in a handover to your own people. If you still need me after it, the handover has failed.
Evidence first, because boards ask
Targets are set as indicators with a starting value before the work begins. Where the evidence is thin, I say so.
How I lead, and what keeps me going
Teams perform when people can speak candidly and take a risk without being punished for it, so that is where I start. Outside of work in Binningen, Switzerland, I recharge through running, strength training, and walks with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Jamie.
