Good is not good enough by Kevin Lancashire

Just spent three weeks in Canada. We traveled with the kids from Vancouver, BC to Calgary, AB. And enjoyed some outstanding and memorable experiences along the way.

Among the most stunning sights was lake maligne. The scene we explored once we had reached spirit island by boat is one of the places I would add to everybody’s bucket list.

Driving towards Canmore the day after the photoshop-like Impressions - turquoise out of control - I reflected on why it is crucial to excel in our efforts delivering experiences to customers.

Take aways

1. Mediocracy does not leave a lasting impression. Subsequently your customers will hop to another brand offering a similar product or service.

2. Your passion for life by designing amazing experiences gives you a competitive edge.

3. Excellence attracts talented people.

Bricks & Mortar by Kevin Lancashire

Losing grip: non-holistic planning content across corporate websites and social media by Kevin Lancashire

Planning content across owned and earned media in a non-concerted way is inefficient and not effective. Often consistent messaging across platforms is ditched in favor of “siloed” storytelling. The downside: redundancies, less reach, not on-message, no (shared) measurement.

However, a holistic, more agile and collaborative approach to editorial planning gains foothold. E.g. regional editions Financial Times.

Is the old way of planning content in silos is losing grip in your company?
